Long story short, my TV has a coaxial cable, so you can place the antenna directly to my TV. Previously, he had used a cable box via an HDMI cable. I think I need some kind of device that is an external tuner, which has Componants connect to my TV with HDMI cable or high definition can. The part number is AVC08U. If your monitor is a Hitachi, you can one of these for around U.S. $ 250,00. The AVC08U not come with a remote control. It is the intended use of the Hitachi, I see no reason why not to work with the monitor.
